May is Military Appreciation Month and to honor our soldiers and veterans we are teaming up with the Colorado Springs YMCA to raise money for their Military Outreach Program. We are asking any and all artists that are willing to participate in a silent auction fundraiser to drop off work on May 10th, 2017 10am-6pm. The theme will be "Honor and Remembrance". Work will be on display until the 3rd Friday Reception on May 19th, which will conclude the auction.
We are donating 15% of our commission rate to the YMCA, so of the sale price 70% to artist, 15% to YMCA, and 15% to AAFC.
Artists' may donate a % if they so choose.
Please call if you have any questions.
How Do You See God? 2017
You See God?“ is an exhibition that asks our artists to share their thoughts
and beliefs through unique works of art. It is open to all faiths and beliefs,
as well as all media, all ages, and 2D or 3D works. Each year, we photograph
all of the art that is included in the exhibit and create a book with the
artists and images. The book will be available by the second reception. This is
the 7th year of the exhibition and will be our 6th
edition of the book.

6th ANNUAL JUDGED MINIATURES ART SHOW 2017
DEFINITION: Miniature paintings and sculptures are fine art on a small scale, with minute attention to detail, which can withstand close inspection or enlargement. As a guideline (not a rule) for a general definition of small scale, a subject should be no larger than 1/6th actual size. A human head is about 9 inches so the painted head should be no larger than 1½”. Subjects too small for portrayal in 1/6th scale or nonrepresentational work such as abstracts or surrealism may meet the spirit of a miniature if the work meets the above definition of miniature art.
